Massage Therapy
Overview
Although massage has been used for thousands of years, we are just now rediscovering how important touch is to health and even life itself. Studies have demonstrated the healing power of touch and the National Institute of Health has awarded $10 million in grants for further study on massage and other “alternative” therapies. Massage is best thought of as a complement to traditional medical care rather than an alternative. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care but can help a wide range of medical conditions. With as much as 80% of all ailments may be caused by stress, it’s no wonder massage can help! Try massage therapy and see what a difference it can make to your health and well-being!
