Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is the clinical use of hypnosis in order to bring about a positive change in mind/body health. Hypnosis is a relaxed and focused state of attention in which the mind becomes more open to suggestions. A hypnotherapist uses positive suggestions and imagery to reinforce a beneficial change in behavior. A hypnotherapist is specifically trained to help a person unlock the power of their own mind.
We no longer do hypnotherapy at the Nashua Athletic Club. We do mention it here, however, because it can be a very useful tool in enhancing performance and making life changes. We can however mention some great hypnotherapy based products that we have used and received tremendous personal benefits from.

Who Can Be Hypnotized & Is It Safe?
Virtually everyone has been hypnotized while they are daydreaming, engrossed in a good book or TV show, and when driving on a familiar route.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis because a persons conscious mind remains in control. During a hypnotherapy session, the therapist simply facilitates a state of hypnosis to the extent desired by the individual. Hypnosis is used to support the change of behaviors leading to a specific desired outcome, such as weight loss, stress reduction, smoking cessation, childbirth, or enhanced performance.
