Andrea S. Paduchak, PT, LMT

Andrea is a Physical Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, and owner of Complements for Health.  Andrea has a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH. She is a graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy and received her B.S. in Biology from Saint Michaels College.  Andrea has also studied at the Hypnotherapy Training Company. Services are offered on-site at homes and offices, as well as within the Nashua Athletic Club, 596 West Hollis St., Nashua, NH 03062.

Andrea’s unique background allows her to successfully blend traditional and “alternative” health care to provide for the complex needs of her clients.  Andrea provides integrative services ranging from stress reduction to post-surgical rehabilitation. She is dedicated to continuing education as a means of increasing her skills and effectiveness in order to deliver an optimum level of care.

Andrea also has clinical expertise in:

• Injury prevention, assessment, and treatment.
• Postural and ergonomic analysis.
• Strength and flexibility programs.
• Biomechanical foot evaluations for custom orthotics.

John is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY and received his BS in Imaging Science.  John’s educational background is in engineering, but now works in sales and marketing. An entrepreneur by nature, he has his own business in financial services sales, and runs our internet ventures.  John also enjoys writing and helps out with our website, newsletter and online articles.

I was born with a spine curvature that did not adversely affect my very active quality of life until 1995, after 17 years of running from 40 to 50 miles a week I created a spur between the 5th and 6th vertebrae in my neck.  This abnormality caused extreme neck pain, restricted movement and at times brought on dizziness.  The result was that I was incapacitated from most physical activity including playing racquetball, which I had done for over 35 years and was a lifeblood activity for me.  After extensive diagnostics at Lahey Clinic, it was concluded that the recommended course of action was an exercise program and heat therapy.  After many months on this program I was still not able to return to my pre-trauma lifestyle or even a less active lifestyle that included racquetball. I contacted Andrea Paduchak at my racquetball club about my difficulty and entered into a rehabilitative and maintenance program designed to address my primary difficulties of dizziness and pain, and as a secondary goal to get me back into the racquetball court again. I have been under her care for the past three (3) years. The expert application of her skills and services has returned me once again to a full, active lifestyle.  I am now playing racquetball three times a week and as a bonus I have resumed my 60+ mile bike rides with my grandson, all without returning to the pain or dizziness I had been experiencing before.  Unless I take periods of more than a few weeks off from our program I remain pain free and able to function fully.

I have found that Ms. Paduchak is a well qualified professional who has provided me with a renewed quality of life that I had not expected but enjoy to the fullest.

 I came to Andrea for lymphatic drainage massage therapy for my foot and leg.  I had been in a cast for 8 weeks after breaking my metatarsal, and when the cast was removed found that lymphedema and the formation of fibratic tissue had caused my foot and ankle to have almost no mobility.  It was painful to put any weight on it, and even though I had received ten sessions of physical therapy elsewhere, I was dissatisfied with my progress and there was still the issue of swelling that would not go down.

 

I had come to Andrea for massage therapy for my back and shoulders, and knew of her credentials and ability.  I felt comfortable knowing that Andrea had an extensive background in physical therapy as well as massage therapy.  In a few weeks of gentle lymphatic drainage massage along with some deep tissue massage in areas where fibrotic tissue had taken hold, I was able to stop wearing a compression stocking and put full weight on it.  Range of motion has improved greatly, and with the exercises and stretching suggestions she has given me I am ready to get myself back on track.

I highly recommend Andrea to anyone dealing with post injury and mobility issues.  This combination of massage therapies is the way to go.
